The course is set – the path is clear

At Shree Tuljabhavani Sugar, sustainability is embedded across our entire value chain from sugarcane cultivation to energy generation. It guides how we operate, grow, and create long-term value. We balance economic progress with environmental responsibility, viewing sustainability as both a mission and a duty. This commitment is driven by our people, who actively implement practical measures that deliver measurable impact through daily operations as well as larger initiatives.

Rooted in regional agriculture, we work closely with Farmers, Employees, and Partners to steadily reduce our environmental footprint and strengthen responsible practices across the value chain.

By taking responsibility at every stage, we aim to protect natural resources while creating lasting value for society today and for generations to come.

Joining forces for sustainable development

We are convinced that sustainability can only be achieved together. That is why we think and act along the entire value chain. And we are involved in various initiatives that promote greater transparency, higher standards and measurable goals.

✅Sustainable Agriculture Initiative ( SAI )

  • We partner with farmers to promote eco-friendly practices like precision irrigation and soil health management.

  • Training programs ensure judicious use of fertilizers and pesticides, reducing environmental footprint and improving yield.

  • This strengthens rural livelihoods while protecting common resources.

  • We also support crop diversification and intercropping methods that boost income stability and resilience.

  • Our long-term goal is to build a farming ecosystem that is both economically viable and environmentally regenerative.

✅ Clean Energy & Circular Economy

  • Built-in cogeneration plants utilize bagasse to produce both process heat and renewable electricity; any surplus power is exported to the grid.

  • Vinasse and agricultural residues feed our distillery and CBG units, closing energy loops and minimizing waste.

  • Nearly all energy needs of our plants are met internally via renewable sources, greatly reducing GHG emissions.

  • Solar energy systems are being integrated to further diversify and decarbonize our energy mix.

  • Our energy infrastructure is designed to scale sustainably, ensuring future expansions remain eco-efficient.

✅ Waste Water Management

  • We treat all wastewater through advanced filtration and recovery systems, enabling its reuse across operations, including for steam and power generation.

  • This closed-loop approach minimizes freshwater usage, supports zero liquid discharge, and ensures sustainable plant functioning even in water-stressed regions.

  • Rainwater harvesting systems are integrated across units to replenish groundwater and reduce dependency on external sources.

  • Our commitment to water efficiency extends to educating nearby communities on conservation practices and sustainable usage.

✅ Community & Ecosystem Development

  • Tree plantation drives and community awareness programs support biodiversity and clean air.

  • Through CSR partnerships, we promote women’s health & safety, local education, and rural skill development.

  • We actively engage with local farmers and youth through training and employment initiatives, fostering long-term rural empowerment.

  • Our efforts align with key SDGs around clean energy, water, and inclusive community growth.
